Mysterious Skies ............ UFO sighted in Western Skies over James Gilliland's Ranch in Trout Lake, WA

Apalachicola, FL Area

Historic Apalachicola is a quaint and interesting town that successfully blends the old and the new in a most gracious way. Apalachicola gets its name from the early Native Americans who once lived there. In 1706, these natives were relocated to the Savannah River area in Georgia and further moved inland to the Oklahoma Territories in 1833 and 1834 after the Indian Removal Treaties purchased land in exchange for re-settlement outside the then-existing boundaries of the United States. The Natives suffered greatly from these changes and although they were not 'forced' to relocate, they were not offered any means of protection and/or legal rights if they chose to remain.

Apalachicola is steeped in Native history and consequently, numerous indian burial grounds have been moved and scattered by 'manifest destiny' of the expanding United States. It is for this reason that we investigated Apalachicola and because the area contains very high concentrations of energy. Is Apalachicola haunted? Oh yes, we believe there are numerous haunted sites from many different previous inhabitants! Please read on ....

Date(s): September 5, 2007

Location: Apalachicola, FL - various locations in and around the town

Weather Conditions: Warm, medium humidity, no fog.

Site Properties: Town locations, inhabited. Sites included cemeteries, parks and city streets

Investigators: Dolphyn, Astoria, and Teresa, Meredith from FCPI

Preliminary Investigation:. Apalachicola is steeped in haunted history. Our initial investigation merely scratches the surface and we plan to add to this page as investigations unfold into individual areas. The Orman House and Gibson Inn are two well known haunted locations. The Orman House has been investigated by Forgotten Coast Paranormal Investigators previously and Paranormal Trax will be combining efforts in a new investigation soon to come. See FCPI's investigative report here. The Gibson Inn has been added to our list of locations for future investigations, as well.

FINDINGS: Apalachicola is most definitely a haunted location, as evidenced by numerous photographs, Electronic Voice Phenomena and first hand accounts. Reports of doors rattling at the Orman House, sightings of apparitions at the Gibson Inn and various local tales of ghostly apparitions abound. Paranormal Trax has been privvy to many of these stories and legends of sea captains who haunt their old digs, of indian chiefs who roam the woodlands and of spirits of the dead who continue to appear at will to receptive individuals. Many of the cemeteries in the Apalachicola area hold mysterious secrets that are merely intimated by the appearance of brightly colored orb beings and ectoplasmic occurrences.

While taking photos at Lafayette Park, we met up with two interesting fellows who provided colorful stories of hunting expeditions that resulted in coming face to face with the apparition of an Indian Chief who ducked behind a clump of trees while watching the young men track hogs in the woods. Was he interested in hunting along with the men or was he protecting his beloved land ... we do not know, because as the young men told us, they promptly left the area after the sighting.

Lafayette Park in itself hold many mysteries. It is reported to have been a cemetery at one time and perhaps an indian burial ground back in the day. There are no clues left to show its previous usage, however, the appearance of numerous orbs and plasmoid activities are proof positive that energies still exist in this area.

Our investigation will be ongoing at this location.

Death is not the end
Death can never be the end.

Death is the road.
Life is the traveller.
The Soul is the Guide

...

Our mind thinks of death.
Our heart thinks of life
Our soul thinks of Immortality.

Poem for Apalachicola, Florida
By Jeff Newberry

Floodplain forests spill
Into the bay, a brackish
mix of swamp & salt.

Channel cats slice saw grass
& sea birds cluster on a concrete
causeway, scatter as cars & trucks
roar by, tires thump-thumping,
thump-thumping, the galloped
rhythm a murmured heart.

Pattoon Bridge spans Apalachicola
Bay, stretches to St. George Island,
the rich man's backyard playhouse,
where frat boys & suits knock
back imports with South Florida
Sweethearts, Atlanta transplants
with fake bakes, & Tallahassee
debutantes, orange kings, tomato queens.

A few fishermen tightline beneath 319,
haul out black drum, sheephead,
the occasional speckled trout.

Old men in white hip waders gig
flounder in skiffs, dark figures
on a gray sea, chiaroscuro
against evening fog.

Ground oyster
shells form every bank & church
parking lot, crushed calcium that leads
down to the edge of the bay itself,
down to the salt.

A pearl must lie In the soft muscle
of one fleshy heart, though the
oystermen never tell such tales.

Credo

I believe that we are a very small
part of a very large world.

I believe we have the power to change this world f
or the betterment of all beings.

I trust in my intuition that we are all
a beautiful part of a wondrous being
who loves and protects us.

I believe this being to be the
Creator Source of All Things.

I honor that part of the
Creator Source in you,
and in myself.

I trust in the Divine Wisdom of
The Universe
and through Its guidance
we will all prosper.

All Is One.

I Believe.
