Lunar / Sun Day Sermon Special Edition - Thanksgiving and Unity |

Greetings One and All ....
It is an honor to share a special edition of our Lunar / Sun Day Sermon today, Thanksgiving Day in the US. This message is intended for All Beings across our beautiful Planet Earth .. North American friends and everywhere ! The celebration of Thanksgiving in the United States grew out of tradition with respect to our forefathers, the hearty group who called themselves the "Pilgrims" and who landed at Berkeley Plantation in Virginia and at Plymouth Rock in Massachusetts back in the early 1600's. This day marks with honor the thanks given by these early settlers of their safe voyage to the new world and the bounty which they worked so diligently to grow for their meager subsistence. Today, we celebrate with stuffed and dressed roast turkey, mashed potatoes and rich gravy, corn, yams and pumpkin pie. Back in the 1600's, they feasted on deer, eel, fish, and indigenous roots and vegetables introduced to them by the Native peoples, without who 'se help they may not have survived. Indeed there is a lot to be thankful for; we have progressed very far since those early days. Today we have electric ranges, microwave ovens, grocery stores from which we may purchase any variety of goods and sundries. However, our forefathers eeked out their existence by working the land, and cooking over open fires. Their lifestyle was harsh. They worked from sun up till sun down and life was indeed dangerous for them. They were for all intents and purposes, interlopers in a strange land which was held by Natives who were not all pleased to see the coming of the this strange man, though there were some peaceful tribes that shared their knowledge of the Earth with the new people. Fleeing religious persecution in their homeland, the new settlers were willing to brave the new world and its inhabitants for the pursuit of a freedom unknown to them -- the right to worship as they saw fit and the delineation between Church and State. When we look back at this important segment of history, we might consider how things have changed ... or not! Today, we still experience religious persecution and the delineation between Church and State still poses a serious matter. Public schools and common areas which once were unified under God, now for matters of political correctness, are removing this cornerstone of spiritual presence. Prayer is no longer permitted in public schools. The name of God has been removed from the Washington Monument. What does this mean in terms of unification? Not all people believe in God, per se. Many may believe in a Creator Source or Supreme Being yet ... there are numerous religions and spiritual paths that hold sacred teachings dear to their hearts that do not coincide with each other. We are moving toward a unification under a New World Order. Perhaps you have heard horror stories so prevalent on the Internet about enslavement of the masses, the mark of the beast (micro-chipping, perhaps?), and the unification of world powers where a few wealthy leaders will rule in utter dictatorship over the working class. There may be a lot of truth in these stories, but there may also be a lot of disinformation as well. The idea of world unification is basically a beautiful idea. It speaks of oneness and harmony amongst the many cultures that presently inhabit Earth Mother. It talks of unity beyond borders causing us see our world as one planet, rather than a number of singular world powers. Can we truly reach the point in our existence where we can consider our neighbors in far away lands to be family .. one family .. the Family of Man? The question posed today in our special edition of the Lunar / Sun Day Sermon is simply this: Are you willing to accept the changes that must occur in order to unify this beautiful planet into one strong family? The answer to this question must come from deep within our hearts and Souls and it may not be a simple yes or no response. Anger and hatred must be eradicated. Negativity must be replaced with unconditional love. Prejudices so hard won over many years of fostering cultural pride must be softened by understanding of each other's belief systems and ways of life and the struggle for world domination by those who have set themselves up in places of power must be entirely released. These are tall orders. But they can happen in this lifetime if we so choose. The choice is collectively ours. Let's look at each other with kindly hearts in anticipation of sharing, learning and enjoying the gifts that we all have to give. This Thanksgiving Day, let us all be grateful for that which we have personally and that which our neighbors have - all across the globe, as well. Unification begins in the heart. I leave you to ponder the great joy that is ours to share and the possibilities that exist for reaching harmony as a One World in this lifetime. Be blessed, All, and Happy Thanksgiving. Warmly Rev. Bee
